Julie Glassmeyer is the Owner of Glassmeyer Construction Consulting & Coaching, LLC. For the past 17 years, Glassmeyer has been employing, facilitating, and coaching Lean Design & Construction principles. She draws on her 20+ years of experience in commercial construction planning and management to support project teams in achieving successful Lean implementation. She has taught Lean thinking and the Last Planner® System to people at all levels of management. Projects managed by these individuals regularly experienced reduce accidents, reliable schedules, cost savings, and increased team morale.
Glassmeyer began her career with Messer Construction, in Cincinnati, Ohio. In her thirteen years with the company, she achieved the position of Senior Project Manager, leading construction teams for projects with contract values exceeding $30 million. It was at Messer Construction that Glassmeyer was first introduced to Lean Construction, when she managed one of the firm’s Lean pilot projects. Following her time with Messer, Glassmeyer filled the role of Manager of Construction Planning for Grote Enterprises, a large commercial HVAC and plumbing company. In this position, Glassmeyer supported Grote project managers, superintendents, and foremen, as well as various construction managers and fellow subcontractors in the use of Lean Construction principles and the Last Planner® System.
Glassmeyer truly enjoys construction, and is passionate about coaching companies and project teams in the effective implementation of Lean principles and tools. She believes that teams that strive for continuous improvement will develop the innovations that carry our industry through the 21st century and beyond.
Glassmeyer holds a BS in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati, and served as an Adjunct Professor at Cincinnati State and UC.
